Per Diem Sitter – Cambridge, MA

Pay: $21/hour

Schedule: Primarily 3:00 PM–11:30 PM and 11:00 PM–7:30 AM (occasional 7:00 AM–3:30 PM)

Setting: Emergency Department

We’re hiring reliable and attentive Per Diem Sitters to work in Cambridge, MA . In this role, you’ll observe and ensure the safety of patients—up to four at a time—in a behavioral health or emergency room setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients to ensure safety.
• Recognize and report changes in behavior or condition promptly.
• Maintain focus—phones, books, and personal distractions are not permitted.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and support the care team.

Requirements:

• Current BLS certification.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• Milieu experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology a plus.
• Dependable, calm, and professional demeanor.
