Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform work involving conventional hydrogeological procedures and coordinate with geology, hydrology, and engineering specialties for data interpretation and conceptual model development.
- Apply numerical groundwater flow modeling using commercial or public domain software in support of engineering design, safety analysis, and environmental studies.
- Participate in field investigations including site characterization, well installation, aquifer tests, and water sampling.
- Assist senior staff in preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations.
- Review geotechnical subcontractor reports and provide comments and recommendations.
- Foster a collaborative work environment based on openness, trust, teamwork, and innovation.
Skills:
- Proficiency with geology software such as MODFLOW, Aqtesolv, Leapfrog, OpenGround.
- Strong knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, and engineering concepts.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and computer graphics for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, material requisitions) and construction methods for concrete/steel structures.
Education/Experience:
- M.S. in Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or related Geosciences discipline with 8 years of progressive related experience, OR Ph.D. with 6 years of related experience.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to travel and remain onsite for extended periods.
- Curiosity, initiative, sound judgment, and interdisciplinary knowledge in geology and engineering.
