Mainframe QA Tester Fully Remote
Hiring a Mainframe QA Tester to support a State Government MMIS Modernization project. This is a fully remote, long-term contract role.
Responsibilities
Create and execute test cases for functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
Test COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and batch processes.
Review batch job results, logs, and workflows to identify defects.
Validate backend data using SQL and mainframe tools.
Document defects and collaborate with developers and BAs to drive resolutions.
Requirements
5+ years of mainframe QA/testing experience.
Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
Experience testing MMIS, Medicaid Eligibility, or State IE systems is a plus.
Proficient with SQL and defect management tools (JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
